Bible Verse of The Day – 6-30-15

Psalm 46:10(NKJV) 10 Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!

Be still and stay focused on what we know we need to be doing. Don’t let anyone or anything stop us or change the direction God has us going in.

There are big changes taking place all around us today, and we as Christians don’t need to fear or worry about them. God knew from the beginning what would transpire; it’s all in His Word.

We, as His children, should not be surprised in the direction things are taking. Knowing how to recognize the time and the season is important, so we will know how to carry ourselves through them.

Stay calm; don’t let the things we see and hear about throw us off track or get us caught up in conversations that are not productive, healthy, or good. Stay focused and trust God. Continue to love one another, and follow His Steps each day.

Continue to rejoice and thank God, for He is good! Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-29-15

1 John 4:7 (NKJV) 7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.

Jesus came and lived among us, and He loved those He spent time with.

He ate with and spent time with those who society would consider undesirable; prostitutes, tax collectors, adulterers and more.

These very same people would be looked down upon if they entered many of today’s modern church buildings. Some might even be asked to leave.

If God’s love is ever to be portrayed to the world, how can it happen if we, the body of Christ, shun people and turn them away based on how they look or how we perceive them?

We will admit that some people can be hard to love. They might be obnoxious, boisterous or downright unruly and rebellious. But there was never a moment in our lives when we were the picture of perfection. And yet, God loved us in spite of ourselves.

So who are we not to show that same love to those who we come into contact with?

No, it’s not always easy. In fact, sometimes it can be downright difficult. And those people that we’re trying to love can be the very ones that make it the hardest. But loving people is not an option. It’s a command from Jesus himself.

Matthew 5:44-45 (NKJV) 44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, 45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

So, as His body, we need to cut through all of the noise, all of the heated debates, all of the propaganda and everything else that would try to get in the way. And we need to love.

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-27-15

Luke 12:6-7 (NKJV) 6 “Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God. 7 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

Not one of us are forgotten before Him. This kind of stuff blows my mind when I try to comprehend it.

God surely knows us and what we may be going through at any given time. Knowing the number of hairs on our heads is a BIG deal! That’s a lot of knowing.

Let me reinforce that and say it again; nothing is hidden from Him.

He knows all of this stuff about us; the things we have been through, the things we are going through and the things we have done, and yet He does not condemn us, but He wants to help us get free and be saved.

John 3:17 (NKJV) 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

What a loving Father, with a beautiful, compassionate heart!

Surrender everything to God today. He will guide us and protect us. Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-26-15

Romans 8:37 (NKJV) 37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

We have all made mistakes. We’ve said and done things that we regret; things that have hurt others, things that have caused harm to ourselves and, even worse, things that have hurt God and disappointed Him.

We can’t go back and change those things, no matter how badly we’d like to. And sometimes we may sit and ponder on those things, wondering “what if”.

But those things, those mistakes, don’t make us who we are. They may be a part of who we were, but they’re not part of who we are  in Christ.

We don’t have to wallow in pity or drown in a sea of regret. Regret is like a disease that can eat us up from the inside, out, if we let it.

But our past is our past and if we are in Christ, if we have put our faith in Him, then what’s behind us is just that; behind us!

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV) 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Regardless of who you were before and what you might have done, you are now more than a conqueror in Christ. You have been washed in the blood and made whole again.

It’s time to pick ourselves up and move on, shaking those old things off and letting them fall to the ground.

Victory is ours in Jesus, and no matter what the devil tries to whisper in our ear, we are overcomers and conquerors.

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-25-15

Ephesians 5:25 (NKJV) 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her…

Love your wife as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for her.

That’s a pretty tall order, but it’s not a request or a question. It’s a command from God’s word.

And if God has told us to do it, then we need to do it!

What’s awesome in this, though, is that God has equipped us to do this by giving us His spirit. We have not been left to do it on our own power or by our own wisdom.

Wives need the love and support of a strong, compassionate, loving, understanding husband. It’s how God wired them.

And He wired us to be that man that they need.

So I urge husbands who might be reading this today, to love your wife as Christ loved the church. Treat her with respect, not with contempt or constant belittling.

She may not be perfect, but the last time I checked, neither are we. And if God has told us to love them as Christ loved the church, then we need to do just that!

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-24-15

John 10:10 (NKJV) 10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundant.

Yesterday as I prayed for a woman, the Lord showed me while praying that she did not feel like she was able to receive Him. So I asked her if she felt this way. She began to weep. She said, “He’s taken all my family from me and I got angry at Him! I have said and done some terrible things directly toward Him.”

As she cried bitter tears. I looked at her and said only what I know to be truth and I’ll say this to all that think and feel the same way about God.

According to God’s Word, this verse clearly states that it is the THIEF, it’s the devil who comes to steal, kill and destroy.

And he would love for us to place the blame on God when things go wrong. He knows if he can get us to think that God did it to us, or God didn’t help us when we were going through something, then he can get us to believe that God doesn’t care about us.

At that point, the thief can ultimately steal, kill and destroy us in addition to whatever else he might have already done to us. He can take our joy, our strength and our life. It’s called deception.

Your anger is directed at the wrong One today.

Whatever the case may be in your situation, know that God came to bring LIFE and that we can have it more abundantly! Death, destruction, and thievery come by the hand of the thief.

Today you need to take your life back. Cry out to God and talk to Him. Your terrible loss was not by God’s hand. He wants life for all of us!!

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come to You today and pray for those that have had a loss in their life. For those that have been deceived into thinking that this loss was Your doing. We lift them up and pray that as You are speaking to their hearts and showing them the truth, that they will open up and receive Your answer for them today. That they will not buck it or try to argue the point, but simply receive the truth. That today they will lay down their sorrow, grief and the empty feeling of that loss and pick up what You have for them; Your comfort, Your peace, Your joy and Your life for them. In Jesus’ name we ask this. Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-23-15

Romans 3:9-10 (NKJV) 9 What then? Are we better than they? Not at all. For we have previously charged both Jews and Greeks that they are all under sin. 10 As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one;

There isn’t a single one of us who has anything to offer God.

We are all impure, stained by our sin and guilty of more than we could ever even hope to repay or compensate for by our own righteousness.

Our righteous acts, apart from Christ, are nothing. They are like dust that blows in the wind and disappears, leaving nothing behind but traces of dirt.

Isaiah 64:6 (NKJV) 6 But we are all like an unclean thing, And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags;

But get this; God loved us so much that He overlooked our sinful state and created a way for us to have fellowship with Him!

Through the blood of Jesus, God sees as us fit to come before Him and talk to Him, fellowship with Him and make our requests known to Him.

The holiness of God and the desperately-fallen state of man are two things that our minds can never fully comprehend. We can see bits of pieces of how badly the human race has fallen, but we will never truly understand the depth of it.

We can see glimpses and bits & pieces of God’s holiness, but we will never be able to truly grasp His holiness.

In our fallen state, we could not stand in His presence. It would be literally impossible for us to do so and live.

But through the blood of Jesus, we can approach Him boldly, without fear, and not worry about losing our life because of it.

Thank you, Father, for your provision and your grace over our lives!

Let’s thank Him today for making a way for us, bridging the gap between us and Him, removing the barriers of sin, through Jesus, once and for all.

He is worthy to be praised and adored!

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-22-15

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (NKJV) 9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”

We all have weaknesses.

Most of us don’t like to admit it or confess what our weaknesses might be, but we all have them.

Having weaknesses isn’t a sin. It’s just part of our makeup. As children of God, though, we need to learn how to deal with those weaknesses and overcome them, through God’s power.

There are so many different kinds of weaknesses that we may wrestle with; lying, stealing, lust, anger, rage, control, manipulation, doubt, cynicism, drugs, alcoholism, and a thousand others that we can all think of.

It doesn’t matter, though, what it is that we wrestle with, God can help us overcome it, by His spirit, His grace and His mercy.

We need to confess our weaknesses to Him and ask Him to help us overcome them. There may be times when we need to seek help from someone we trust, confessing our weakness to another believer and getting wise counsel.

Sometimes God will put someone in our life who has walked through the very same things that we are struggling with and has overcome them, and they can share with us how God helped them have victory over it.

Proverbs 1:5 (NKJV) 5 A wise man will hear and increase learning, and a man of understanding will attain wise counsel…

Be wise in choosing who to confide in and be sure that person will honor your confidence and your trust in them.

And there may be times when nobody else has to know anything about your struggles, except God himself, as He works in you to help you overcome them and put them behind you forever.

Trust Him. Let Him help you and lead you to victory over whatever it is you struggle with. You may not be able to overcome it on your own, but you can with God’s help.

Philippians 4:13 (NKJV) 13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-20-15

James 1:2-9 (NKJV) 2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

Life can be harsh at times. Sometimes the things we go through are a direct result of choices we have made in the past. But other times we get dealt things that we just plain don’t understand.

Nobody likes trials and tough times. They stretch us and can be very painful, to say the least.

When things are tough, we get to see what we’re made of. We get to see if our faith is as strong as we think it is.

It can be pretty hard sometimes to count suffering as joy. It’s usually much easier to complain and ask why.

But we know from our own personal experiences, that even though we don’t like trials, they do cause us to change. And if we keep our eyes on God, and our faith in Him, those changes are for the better.

No, we don’t always have answers for the things we go through. But we know that somehow, and in some way, we will grow from them and God can use us later on to help others who might be going through something similar.

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-19-15

Psalm 139:13-14 (NKJV) 13 For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. 14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.

We are all unique. God created us as individuals, with unique traits, unique strengths and unique weaknesses.

And just as He has made us unique, our walk with Him is also unique for each one of us. None of us is meant to interact with Him and build a relationship with Him in the exact same way.

As humans, creatures of habit, it’s easy to fall into a pattern of watching others, seeing what they do that works for them, and then following their behavior with the hopes that if it worked for them, it will work for us also.

Following the habits of others is OK in some things, but when it comes to our relationship with our heavenly Father, we need to let Him lead us, not the behavior or actions of others around us.

God moves differently in every situation, so trying to get the same results as someone else by emulating their behavior doesn’t leave room for God to interact with you in a unique way.

Seek God in the way that He would have you do it. Don’t worry about what others are doing. Be you. Be the you that God made you to be.

And in doing so, we will build the relationship with Him that He wants us to have; the one that works for us!

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-18-15

Psalms 34:1 (NKJV) I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

This past week, we have been reading and praying for all our readers who have written to us with prayer requests. We have been humbly lifting each prayer request up to God, in the name of Jesus Christ. We know how faithful He is to answer each one.

John 15:5 (NKJV) 5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

As He answers your prayers, please don’t look to Pastors Curt and Ellie, for we can do nothing without Him. But completely give all Glory, Honor and Praises to the Holy One, Jesus Christ our Lord!

He will heal those who need healing, deliver those who need deliverance, save those who need Salvation, restore those who need restoration, and provide for those who need provision! We have seen many miracles take place and He will do a miracle for you.

He will not leave anything undone, as we trust and believe Him for it. He will turn things around. He will bring victory for you in your situation.

Let us join together today all over the world and bless Him and praise Him continually. Amen.
