Bible Verse of The Day – 6-30-17

Jeremiah 29:11 (NKJV) 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Today during prayer, I got done praying about what was on my heart and I just felt like I needed to ask God what was on His.

I know it may sound silly. Here He is, God, the One who created everything. He’s Omnipotent and Omnipresent. He’s Jehovah Jireh, Alpha and Omega. He’s Yahweh, Adonai, Elohim, and El Shaddai. And I’m asking Him, “what is on Your heart today Father?”.

He said to me, “I have seen many things”.

He went onto explain the good and the bad. And then He said “I want the people to know that no matter where they are at in their lives, I want them to come to Me. I will not walk away from them. I  will not leave them. I am here always”.

“I want them to come to Me with anything they may be going through. I want them to know I want to help them. I love them dearly; more than they will ever know.”

So, today I share God’s heart with you.

You may be saying “yeah, but I’ve done this or I’ve done that. I’ve walk away at times and done things that I knew were against His wishes for me. I knew better. I’ve turned on Him many times.”

It doesn’t stop Him from loving us. He wants each one of us to go to Him. And He will help us make it right. His heart is for us. Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-29-17

John 2:5 (NKJV) 5 His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.”

The words above were spoken by Mary, at the wedding where Jesus turned the water into wine. You see, Mary knew; whatever Jesus says to do, do it.

When the Lord speaks to our hearts and wants us to do something, the best thing to do is not to try and figure it out.  We simply need to just start to take the steps He gives and move toward it.

At one time in our lives we thought we had everything figured out. You know, that “PLAN” we come up with where everything goes according to how we think it should go.

Circumstances changed and our PLAN was crushed. God was not part of that plan. If He was, it would have worked out. We learned from that big mistake not to leave Him out.

Sometimes when we plan things, even as Christians, we have a tendency to leave God out. We start a job, we start a family, we pick our groom or bride. We start a ministry, we pick the place for a church, or mission field, the people we want around us, etc.

When something goes wrong, we are like “What?”. It’s then that we quickly run to God and say “what happened?”.

Let God be part of our world, part of our plans and part of our daily walk. Let Him be the part that leads us and let our part be to follow and do whatever He says to do. Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-28-17

2 Timothy 2:15 (NKJV) 15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

God wants us to be diligent in our walk with Him so we can get His approval.

What does that mean and how do we do that? Let’s take a look.

First, we need to be studying His word. This is the only way we can learn about and get a better understanding of who He wants us to be.

Through it, we will also gain a better understanding of Him. And this will lead to a better, stronger relationship with Him.

And as we go through life and its trials, we will learn how to walk in victory, living and walking by God’s spirit. We will not be ashamed because we will learn to let Him lead us through everything we face.

And as we study and walk out His word, we will gain valuable insight as to the truth of it. That truth will give us a strong spirit and better understanding of spiritual things. In turn, we will have better discernment of the many things we encounter in everyday life.

This spells victory for us on a daily basis.

Studying His word isn’t just for “Bible scholars”. It’s for every believer, regardless of age, level of education or any other factor.

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God.

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-27-17

Proverbs 18:21 (NKJV) 21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.

If we are not careful, we can destroy the words or the seeds that God sows through us into someone’s life. How do we do that? By speaking negatively about it after the fact.

God uses our voice at times to say things to people, to help them in the place that they are in. If it doesn’t turn out the way we hoped it would we may very easily begin to talk about it in a negative way.  By doing so we can destroy that seed before it even has a chance to take root.

That is exactly what the enemy wants.

John 10:10 (NKJV) 10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

How does the enemy bring destruction?

He does it in many ways. Sometimes he will use our very own words and our thoughts toward a situation or a person.

We need to choose our words carefully and not undo what God is doing with negative talk afterwards.

May our talk be with excellence, building and encouraging one another, that we may have victory!

1 Thessalonians 5:11 (NKJV) 11 Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-26-17

Numbers 32:23 (NKJV) 23 But if you do not do so, then take note, you have sinned against the Lord; and be sure your sin will find you out.

Sin has a way of catching up with us. It may not always be right away, but at some point in our lives the things we do will manifest and there will be consequences.

Sin is like that. We can try to hide it. We can ignore it. We can try to gloss it over or even try to justify it in our minds. But sooner or later it shows itself and we have to deal with the aftermath of it.

This doesn’t mean that God won’t have mercy on us. He will if we ask for it. And this covers things on His part, with regard to having our sins forgiven.

1 John 1:9 (NKJV) 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

But in the natural realm there will, many times, still be consequences.

So it’s important that we don’t let sin linger in our lives. And it’s critical that when we get ourselves caught up in sin that we do whatever is necessary to fix it as soon as possible. The longer we stay in it, the larger the repercussions will usually be.

And when our sin affects others, it’s important that we go to them and make it right with them. This can sometimes be very hard, since it means facing the one(s) we have sinned against or who have gotten hurt because of our sin.

And whatever we do, we can’t wallow in shame or self-pity when we drop the ball and mess up. That will do us and others no good whatsoever. It will only worsen the situation.

So let’s do what we know is right and confess our sins to God, ask Him to forgive us, repent and walk away from them. And then let’s face the consequences head on and work to put it all behind us quickly, so we can move forward and God can bring healing to our lives and the lives of those who have also been affected by our actions.

It isn’t necessary for us to fix ourselves up before we can go to God. Neither is it necessary for others to do that.

So please give this short video a quick watch and then share God’s love with others.

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-24-17

1 Peter 5:7 (NKJV) 7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

Sometimes we face trials and challenges in our lives that we just aren’t prepared for.

Many times things hit us that we were never expecting. They come at us out of the blue and they blindside us, sending us reeling. Sometimes it feels like we can’t even catch our balance and we’re going to go crashing down.

These things are just part of life here in the world that we live in. Financial hardships, health issues & diseases, loss of loved ones and so much more.

So how do we handle these things without them destroying us and tearing our lives to pieces? How do we stay standing when it feels like everything is trying to knock us down?

We muster up whatever strength we have and we use it to cast all of our cares and burdens onto God. We let Him give us the peace and the rest we need in order to keep going.

Jesus told us to take His yoke upon ourselves, and in doing so we will find rest for our souls.

Matthew 11:29-30 (NKJV) 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

If we don’t cast our cares upon Him, we tend to hang onto them and try to bear them ourselves. This leads to worrying and fretting, both of which will only lead us deeper into despair.

So we encourage you today to take those cares and burdens that are weighing you down and give them to God. Place them at His feet and leave them there.

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-23-17

John 8:32 (NKJV) 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

Truth is a funny thing. We all claim to want to know the truth about so many things. But sometimes when we actually know the truth, it can be hurtful and hard to swallow.

But, once we know the truth, we can move toward dealing with it and moving beyond it. Then and only then can we be free of the things that hurt us.

But there is another Truth that sets us free. His name is Jesus.

Jesus said that He is “the way, the truth, and the life“.

John 14:6 (NKJV) 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

In the natural realm, the words and actions of others hurt us and cause us to live in bondage. But Jesus, who is the Truth, brings complete, lifelong, eternal freedom from every form of captivity.

You see, Jesus doesn’t just show us why we’re hurting. He also provides healing and deliverance from those very things and He teaches us how to live free.

His freedom is true and everlasting, unlike anything the world offers us. It isn’t based on self help or some kind of program. It doesn’t rely on an organization to make it happen. And it isn’t dependent on a leader or other person to administer it properly.

Jesus goes right to the source and touches those places deep inside of us where the wounds are deep and festering. And His touch brings the healing needed to set us free once and for all.

So we encourage you to embrace the Truth. And walk in the freedom that Jesus died to give us all.

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-21-17

2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV) 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Fear is a terrible thing. It can wreak havoc with our lives if it is left unchecked and allowed to dominate.

Fear clashes with our faith and attempts to derail it, rendering us motionless and unable to function.

Fear paralyzes us. Fear is the opposite of faith.

Faith gives us freedom to pursue God’s call on our lives and complete the tasks He sets before us to complete.

Faith overcomes fear. Faith empowers us.

True faith will push us closer to God. Fear will push us away.

So how do we overcome fear and grow our faith?

First, we have to recognize fear. And then we have to kick it out of our lives, by the authority of the name of Jesus Christ!

If you struggle with fear, here’s how you can give fear the boot and send it packing. Rebuke it in the name of Jesus. It’s not complicated. It doesn’t require you to have anyone else pray for you or lay hands on you. Just say something like this, out loud:

Fear, I rebuke you and command you to go, in the name of Jesus! Release me. I forbid you from operating against me again.

It really is that simple. If we are believers, we have authority in Jesus’ name. Spirits of fear (and other evil spirits) have no choice but to leave when we command them to do so in the name of Jesus.

So give fear the boot and let Jesus make you free from fear for the rest of your life.

Your life will be forever changed.

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-20-17

Isaiah 41:13 (NKJV) 13 For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand, Saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’

Many times we get scared or fearful when we face things where we don’t know what is going to happen or what the outcome of something might be. We are fearful of the unknown.

Why? Because we like to know.

It’s normal to want to know. But there is one thing that is certain; that there will be things that come along where we just won’t know what to expect.

None of us really likes the unknown. But, we learn to accept it and we learn to adjust. How?

In those moments of the unknown, we need to turn to Someone who knows everything there is to know about this life; God, our Father.

He is the One who KNOWS everything. So when we come up against something unknown we can go to Him and ask Him about it. He will help us to learn and get a better understanding. And He will teach us to trust Him with it all.
