Bible Verse of The Day – 1-12-19

1 Peter 2:4 (NKJV) 4 Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious…

Being rejected by the people around us can leave scars. This is something we can’t pretend didn’t happen.

The fear of rejection likes to keep its grip on us. And it can surely be strong enough to hold us down, keep us back and on a road of defeat time after time.

The fear of rejection sits quietly within most of us. And it won’t usually rise up until that moment when we need to step out and do the unexpected, take a plunge or do something different that God is impressing on us to do.

When that happens, we won’t do it. We will wrestle within ourselves over the, “what ifs”, until the opportunity passes by. And then we will be disappointed once again for not doing what we knew we should have done.

Why?

Many times it’s because of the fear left in us from the memory of being rejected, being laughed at, picked on and made to look like a fool. Rejection can hurt us and cripple us.

Will we let God take this from us today and begin healing? Until we reach that point where we feel enough is enough, it will continue to control us and stop us in our tracks.

God is speaking to people today that have reached that point. If you are done with feeling like this, it’s time to do something about it.

We are praying with you for deliverance. The grip has to go. Man may have rejected you, but God has not.

Dear Lord, God Almighty,

You have chosen me today to do things, but I have not stepped out or obeyed you because I have been afraid of what might happen to me at the hand of man. I am sorry and I ask for Your forgiveness. Today, I realize I have been held back because of feeling this way and I want Your help to be delivered. I need to heal.

I want to be free from feeling like this way, Lord. Take this fear of rejection from me and deliver me from it. I want to be used by You and not be afraid to make a move because of what man may say or do. Thank you.

In Jesus’ name I ask. Amen.

We love you and we know that God is going to do a mighty work through you. Rest in Him and have a great day!

Bible Verse of The Day – 5-27-17

Romans 12:10 (NKJV) 10 Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another;

This is a good verse to remember when we feel hurt, looked down on, or even rebuked at times by loving brothers and sisters in Christ.

Maybe we can recall times of being accused of something we hadn’t done. Or maybe we didn’t agree with them in some way, and all of a sudden they don’t know us. They don’t talk to us or want anything to do with us.

What are we to do when we feel rejected by others and we really have no idea what the reason is?

In our hearts we have to know that God sees it all. But, He doesn’t always want us to step out and speak or try to fix it. It does not mean that we have to remain in a situation of abuse either.

It means that when and if He wants us to respond in any way, we need to let Him lead us in love.

Brotherly love goes a long way, especially in moments when we have to pull on God for it because on the inside we are feeling empty.

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-13-14

Psalm 118:22 (NKJV) 22 The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone.

Have you ever felt rejected? Have you ever felt like many people just don’t accept you for who you are?

Humans can be pretty cruel. It’s not what God intended, but it happens all the time, every day, everywhere.

We are all unique in our makeup; our looks, our personality, our likes and dislikes, our ways of expressing ourselves and much more.

Sometimes people will like us because of those traits, while other times we will find people disliking us because of them.

We have all been rejected by others at some point in our lives. It’s inevitable.

It’s a sad fact of life that this happens to everyone at one time or another.

We’re here to tell you today that being rejected by man isn’t the end of the world. Does it hurt? It can. In fact, it can be devastating for some people.

But here’s the truth that can make the difference for you. Jesus was also rejected. He was rejected by the very people He was sent to save… His own people.

They didn’t believe anything He said. They didn’t even believe Him when He performed miracles in front of their eyes.

But God used Him to offer salvation to humanity, through His death and resurrection.

And God can use you, too, despite what people tell you or how they make you feel.

So, today, lift your eyes to heaven and look to God for acceptance, not to man.

You will never know what God has in store for you if you spend all of your time worrying about what man thinks of you.
