Matthew 5:13 (NKJV) 13 \u201cYou are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Being the salt of the earth takes getting our hearts right with God. Our hearts cannot be salty if we continue to do the things that put distance between us and the One who seasons us.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The closer we get to God, the more flavorful we will become. The further we get away from Him, the weaker we are, and we may not have any flavor at all. And that may be why the things we speak to others seem powerless and weak.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

What we let God help us with, and the areas where we let Him change our hearts will depend on our salt level.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

God seasons and strengthens us as we go to Him and obey what He may be asking us to change. He is our \u201cFlavor Changer”, our “Salter”, so to speak.<\/p>\n

How seasoned do we want to be?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The time we spend with Him will determine our strength level.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n
