Matthew 6:33 (NKJV) 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

When everything in us is screaming to pray for what we think we need, but instead we ask for what He wants or sees fit for us, this is a good place to be in our hearts.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

There are many things we may think we need to help our present situation. But God knows exactly what it will take, and if we go to Him before starting off on our list, He will be sure to show us what will get the job done.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

As I was praying this morning, God impressed on my heart that one of the things that I prayed about had touched His heart, and it was something He needed to hear.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

I thought to myself, \u201cwhat in the world could I have possibly said to God that would touch His heart and was something He needed to hear?\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

He said, \u201cwhen you said to Me, to not let anything come between us, no wealth, no material thing, nothing that may pull us apart or bring separation or distance in our relationship. It touched Me.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

He shared with me that many come to Him in prayer begging for material blessings and wealth, temporary fixes. But the thing we need most we don\u2019t mention.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

I am not saying that we should never go to Him and ask for things as such, but it should not be our focus and the only reason why we spend time with Him.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Seek after Him first, and all the things we may think we need shall be added to us.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
