2 Corinthians 10:5 (NKJV) 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ…<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

I’m a thinker. I think about everything. Sometimes my thoughts can cause me a lot of stress if I’m not careful.<\/p>\n

Just today I was praying and I felt the Lord impressed on me not to do so much thinking. He wanted me to simply rest my mind. I said, \u201cLord, how do I do that?\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

As I went about my day, He would remind me and point out to me when I would start to think of things that I didn\u2019t need to be thinking about. I had to be alert, watching out for my thoughts and where they would try to venture out. I would have to stop them and bring them back to where they needed to be.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Boy, what a difference it made. I felt light and clearer in my head. I wasn\u2019t getting preoccupied and wasting time thinking about things that weren’t my concern. I actually had more time to enjoy the day and focus on the good things.<\/p>\n

God taught me that when we spend time\u00a0thinking about unnecessary things it can be a huge distraction, and it can actually clog up our communication\u00a0with Him.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

How many of us are thinkers?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Maybe we have even thought so much about things it robbed us of our joy. It can happen, and it will if we don\u2019t get a handle on it.<\/p>\n

We need to bring our thoughts into captivity. Our thoughts should not run the show.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Thinkers, give yourself a break by using your time to only\u00a0think of the things that are of utmost importance to God.<\/p>\n

Watch and see what happens. You will find yourself more free, happier and enjoying each day, pondering more on the good things of God.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
