Genesis 3:13 (NKJV) 13 And the Lord God said to the woman, \u201cWhat is this you have done?\u201d The woman said, \u201cThe serpent deceived me, and I ate.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

It’s important that when we have done something wrong, and we know it, we don\u2019t try to pass the blame.<\/p>\n

It doesn\u2019t matter who tempted us. It doesn’t matter what the reason is that we did what we did.<\/p>\n

If God was to say to us, \u201cwhat have YOU done?\u201d, it’s imperative that we own up to it, admit it and repent.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

When we keep putting the blame on others, we don\u2019t see what we need to see in ourselves. And we will never change what is needed to be changed.<\/p>\n

We don\u2019t get fixed, we keep on doing what we do and then we wonder why we are in the state we are in.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

You notice how God asked\u00a0the woman, \u201cWhat is this you have done?\u201d He\u2019s God. He knew already what she had done, and He even gave her a hint, by saying “YOU”. He gave her a chance to own up to it. Yes, there was temptation there, but she still did it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Owning up to our error is the beginning of change for us. Who wants to get serious and change?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

When God comes to us with the same question, \u201cwhat is this you have done?\u201d, pick up on the hint and spill the beans, so to speak. Don\u2019t start by putting the blame on someone or something else. He already knows the story and is waiting for us to admit it.<\/p>\n

There is something about saying it with our own mouths, hearing it with our own voice and owning it with our own hearts. That\u2019s when God can begin to deal with the root of it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
