Matthew 7:3 (NKJV) 3 And why do you look at the speck in your brother\u2019s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Why does it seem OK\u00a0for us to act a certain way, but when someone else does the same thing, we don\u2019t like it?<\/p>\n

We make a big deal out of it. We don\u2019t let them have any excuses for how\u00a0they behaved.\u00a0No, we do not overlook it or take it lightly. Instead, we\u00a0hold on to it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

What\u00a0are\u00a0we doing when we act like this?\u00a0We could have a big old plank in our eye, but we will strain to see what others need to\u00a0fix in their lives.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Let\u2019s just call it what it is today.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Matthew 7:2 (NKJV) 2 For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

How do we stop spending so much time judging others so harshly? We start looking at ourselves.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Boy, when we start to see\u00a0ourselves and how we act at times,\u00a0we\u00a0won\u2019t be so quick to look down our noses at others.<\/p>\n

When we get real and we start to watch what we say and do, or pay closer attention to our thoughts, watch out. We will find out that there are things we need to tend to immediately.<\/p>\n

One of the biggest ways the devil\u00a0gets\u00a0us distracted from seeing our own faults is by putting others in front of us.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

But we can beat him at his game. How? By putting God\u2019s word into action. This verse says a lot. It may\u00a0take us\u00a0time to get this right, but we have to start somewhere.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Looking at ourselves is going to be war for our flesh. Flesh does not like to look at\u00a0itself\u00a0as ever being in the wrong.\u00a0Our first battle will be with\u00a0our\u00a0own self. When we get past that, we will battle the enemy and his\u00a0strategies\u00a0or attacks.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Either battle, God will help us win as we put our foot forward and really want to learn and do what it\u00a0takes\u00a0to\u00a0change. Amen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
