James 4:10 (NKJV) 10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We often hear about making sure we lift God up and exalt Him. And so it should be. After all, He is God, right?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

But did you know that there are times when God lifts us up and exalts us?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Yep! His word says so!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Now, this doesn\u2019t mean that we should get prideful and puffed up about it. On the contrary, we need to be humble. If we are not humble, God will never even consider lifting us up.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

It\u2019s our pride that keeps us from being close to God. And it will be our pride that causes us to fall if we don\u2019t keep it in check.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

But God loves humility. He loves it so much that He says He will lift us up and exalt us if we\u2019re humble.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Luke 18:14 (NKJV) 14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted<\/span>.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

It\u2019s safe to say that if God takes humility seriously, then we should also!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
