1 Thessalonians 4:7-8 (NKJV) 7 For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness. 8 Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who has also given us His Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Learning to live a clean life is all part of being God\u2019s child.<\/p>\n

We are probably going to have to let some old habits go, and pick up some new ones. We may have to let go of certain friends, as well, and those things that affect us in a bad way.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

For instance, maybe we have enjoyed hanging out with certain people up until now. Changing our stance in life will\u00a0cause us to change our\u00a0surroundings. We may no longer feel comfortable being around certain situations, or certain types of entertainment and activities. We may find ourselves troubled or getting irritated when we are.<\/p>\n

This is not a bad or negative thing. It is\u00a0normal. It is the voice of holiness speaking to uncleanness saying, \u201cyou are not welcome here any longer.\u201d And we can\u2019t reject the voice of holiness.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

When we become God\u2019s child it will feel like we are more conscious of our behavior and actions. We will be convicted strongly at times. The worst thing we can do is to ignore it. It will only cause us to be miserable.<\/p>\n

If we let holiness live and speak to us, and we follow that leading, we will remain in the peace of God.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Philippians 4:7 (NKJV) 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
