Romans 8:5 (NKJV) 5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Our minds can be funny things. We think, we ponder, we rationalize and we try our best to figure everything out.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Our spirits, on the other hand, learn to look to God <\/em>to help us sort things out.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Our spirits develop an understanding that sometimes things don\u2019t have to make sense to our minds in order for everything to be alright.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Intellect is God-given. So it\u2019s not a case of God not wanting us to think or reason. He does <\/em>want us to do both of those.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

But, as we learn and grow as a believer, and our spirit grows, we will develop a new understanding of things that goes beyond what our minds can comprehend. This will allow us to move in ways that transcend natural understanding and logic.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Proverbs 3:5 (NKJV) 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We will begin to understand God better, spending less time questioning Him and His ways, and more time looking forward to what He will do in our lives, on His <\/em>terms.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Then we will truly begin to comprehend that peace that surpasses all understanding.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
