Matthew 7:15 (NKJV) 15 \u201cBeware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep\u2019s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

When Jesus says to beware, what is He saying?<\/p>\n

To beware of something means to be cautious and alert as to the danger of it. In other\u00a0words, we need to be on guard, be alert.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Jesus compares false prophets to ravenous wolves. Ravenous wolves are considered very dangerous, vicious\u00a0animals. They\u00a0will bite and kill whatever they come in contact with.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

These false prophets that we are to watch out for come to us in disguise. They appear to be gentle and harmless on the outside. But inside they are devious, and their motives are not what we think.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

How can we discern them when we can\u2019t see what people are like on the inside? The Bible tells us we will know them by their fruit.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Matthew 7:17 (NKJV) 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We look,\u00a0we listen, we see with our own eyes and we will hear with our own ears what kind of fruit they produce.<\/p>\n

Some things will stand out and be very loud and clear. Other things may be a little harder to discern, but the Holy Spirit will help us.<\/p>\n

Take heed. Don\u2019t be misled, and then when we are hurt, blame it on God or run away from Him.<\/p>\n

He warns us.\u00a0 We must be on our toes and discern the things around us. If we see them, don\u2019t stick around to get\u00a0bit. Amen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
