Psalm 119:105 (NKJV) 105 Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The world is dark.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

That darkness can spill over into every aspect of our lives if we\u2019re not careful. And before we know it, it will overtake us, dragging us downward a little at a time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

God\u2019s word is a lamp to our feet. It gives light, cutting through the darkness, revealing things to us that we might otherwise not see. And some of these things could be very harmful to us if we were to encounter them without warning.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

God\u2019s word is also a light to our path.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

So, not only does it illuminate our feet and the area immediately around them, but it shines ahead of us, lighting the way for us as we move forward, showing us the path that God would have us take.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Additionally, God\u2019s word will illuminate us, from the inside out, when we feed on it regularly! And the light that emanates from us will shine on others, bringing His light into their <\/em>dark world.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Set some things aside and spend time in His word. It\u2019s more than just a book. It\u2019s alive!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Hebrews 4:12 (NKJV) 12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
