Luke 12:15 (NKJV) 15 And He said to them, \u201cTake heed and beware of covetousness, for one\u2019s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses<\/span>.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

A covetous life is awful.<\/p>\n

If we are covetous, we are always going to feel unsatisfied. We are always going to be wanting and needing something else. We will\u00a0never be happy.<\/p>\n

We will always be watching for people\u00a0with something better than what we have, and then we will be depressed and miserable until we get it. And sometimes we don’t ever get it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Jesus says, “beware”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We don\u2019t need what they have.\u00a0God will give us what we need and what is good for us.<\/p>\n

If we truly trust Him, we will not be worrying about such things.\u00a0Instead, we will spend our time being thankful for what we have and sharing\u00a0some of it with others.<\/p>\n

We don\u2019t need a lot here. Earth is not our home. This is our work field. We are stationed here for a short time and then we go home. That is where we lay up our treasures, in Heaven, our eternal<\/em> home.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Matthew 6:19-20 (NKJV) 19 \u201cDo not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Life is not in the abundance of our possessions; but in loving one another, in giving, and in helping each other.<\/p>\n

Stop looking at what others have and look at what God has blessed us with.\u00a0He will take care of our every need, and we will be satisfied right to the core. Amen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
