Romans 6:23 (NKJV) 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

As a young adult who was not a believer, I remember very clearly hearing this scripture for the very first time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

It helped me to understand the \u201cwages of sin\u201d by showing me sin\u2019s consequences; death.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

40 years later, as I read this verse again this morning, my eyes were first drawn to that same thing; the wages of sin.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

But God quickly pulled my eyes to the last half of the verse; the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

And all I could say was \u201cWow\u201d!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

He reminded me of His gift to all mankind, through Jesus Christ; eternal life.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

What an amazing gift indeed. There is no gift on earth or in heaven that tops this one. And oh, how I want others to receive this gift.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

My heart aches for the lost, the dying and, yes, even those who do evil in our eyes, appearing to care for nobody but themselves.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

I know the One who can change their hearts, remove the scales form their eyes and make them a brand-new creation in Christ.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

My prayer is that they find Him and surrender their lives to Him, so they might also know this wonderful salvation offered so freely.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Please join us in praying for the nations, that the lost and dying will look up and see their Creator, and embrace Him with newfound faith and trust in Jesus.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV) 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Amen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
