Hebrews 6:15 (NKJV) 15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Abraham was a great example for us to follow when it comes to waiting on God.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We all hate waiting… for anything.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Oh, we may say we can wait patiently. But when the rubber meets the road, and we are forced to wait for something, we can all get a little spoiled acting.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Sometimes we can get miserable. Other times we might get a bit testy with those around us, snapping at them without cause if they bother us even the least little bit.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Other times, we can throw some very good pity parties, feeling very sorry for ourselves as we are forced to endure a period of waiting before we get what was promised to us.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

But, in the end, none of those things actually help us get what we want any more quickly. And sometimes, what we\u2019re waiting for might take even longer because <\/em>of the way we act. Ouch!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

But look at what the verse above says. It says that after<\/em> Abraham had patiently endured, he obtained the promise!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

It wasn\u2019t halfway through. It was after<\/em>!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

And he didn\u2019t endure like a spoiled child, while throwing a temper tantrum. He waited patiently<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Not in spite of that, but because<\/em> of that, he obtained the promise!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

What a lesson we can all learn from this very short verse.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

It\u2019s probably safe to say that each and every one of us can learn something from this that we can apply to our lives as believers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
