Joshua 7:20-21 (NKJV) 20 And Achan answered Joshua and said, \u201cIndeed I have sinned against the Lord God of Israel, and this is what I have done: 21 When I saw among the spoils a beautiful Babylonian garment, two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold weighing fifty shekels, I coveted them and took them. And there they are, hidden in the earth in the midst of my tent, with the silver under it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Yesterday, we left off after establishing that “accursed things” are things that God has told us not to touch.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

This is huge when it comes to God\u2019s blessings being in our homes, our relationships, our\u00a0work place and our church family.<\/p>\n

What have we allowed in?<\/p>\n

It\u2019s usually something that God has told us very clearly not to get involved with; Not to take it, or line up with it.<\/p>\n

Sometimes it’s not even us that’s at fault. Maybe it’s someone else that is in our family or our “camp”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The “accursed thing” is usually something that is very much desired or loved. And it has brought much pain.<\/p>\n

It has caused much sorrow, and not just for the one person that desired it, but for the whole kit n caboodle; the whole family, the whole church, the whole lot of employees, etc.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

It has affected our siblings and our loved ones. And it affects us deeply when it comes to hearing from God.<\/p>\n

His blessings have stopped, and we are sitting here saying, \u201cwhy, God, why?\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Just as God told Joshua, we are saying to you, \u201cget up! Sanctify your place and move forward”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Some may say, \u201cwell, I haven\u2019t been able to make any changes. God\u2019s not hearing me. He has left me. All I see is hardship and sickness, death all around me and others related to me”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

What accursed thing have we desired more than obeying God? We need<\/em> to figure that out because that is the very thing that is hurting us.<\/p>\n

That is the thing that has caused us a failed marriage, health issues, lost jobs, abusive relationships, financial problems, struggles with addictive behavior, etc.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

If we don\u2019t know, we need to find out.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s time\u00a0to get serious and sanctify ourselves, our home, our relationships, and our children.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s time to boot that accursed thing out the door and get back on track with God. Because if we don\u2019t, then we\u2019ve failed Him.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Boot it out! Amen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
