Psalm 73:28 (NKJV) 28 But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord God, That I may declare all Your works.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The last few words of this Psalm are where I\u2019d like to put our focus today, \u201cThat I may declare all Your works\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Salvation, and our walk with God, aren\u2019t about us, even though that\u2019s what most of us might tend to think.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We think of salvation, and we automatically think of our sins being forgiven, and spending eternity with God, in His presence.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Those things are absolutely 100% true. But I like to think of those as being incredible \u201cfringe benefits\u201d of being saved from ourselves and our sinful ways.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The real deal with our salvation is \u201cdeclaring His works\u201d!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

God created each and every one of us with a purpose. We aren\u2019t just here to take up space, breathe oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We are here to share His light, His mercy, His compassion, His grace and His love with those we interact with; to declare His works.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

This can come in many different forms.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Sometimes it\u2019s sharing scripture with someone, to bring understanding to them.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Sometimes it means loving someone who might be \u201cunlovable\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Sometimes it might mean offering someone hope when they have lost their hope.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

And yet other times it might mean encouraging someone who feels like there is no light at the end of the tunnel.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Declaring His works doesn\u2019t always mean \u201cpreaching\u201d to someone. In fact, the vast majority of the time, we won\u2019t even need to break out a Bible or \u201cquote scripture\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We just need to make ourselves available and be willing to go where the Holy Spirit leads us, so we can be a light in this dark world that we live in, as we declare His works.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
