Proverbs 9:7-9 (NKJV) 7 \u201cHe who corrects a scoffer gets shame for himself,\u00a0And\u00a0he who rebukes a wicked man only harms himself. 8 Do not correct a scoffer, lest he hate you; Rebuke a wise man, and he will love you. 9 Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; Teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Talking with certain people can sometimes be very difficult,\u00a0especially\u00a0with regard to\u00a0sharing\u00a0insights with them that may help give them understanding about certain topics.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

It can be downright exasperating, to be honest with you.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

This can hold true for sharing Biblical truth with people. Some people just won\u2019t listen to anything we might try to share with them. They are scoffers (mockers).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The verses above tell us that doing this will cause us to get hurt. Sometimes that hurt might be verbal or emotional. Other times, in extreme cases, it might mean physical harm.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Look at what it tells us, though, about correcting or rebuking a wise man; he will love us.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

You see, some people just plain won\u2019t hear anything we tell them because their minds and their hearts are closed, clamped shut, with no desire whatsoever to learn, grow or know the truth.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Does\u00a0that mean that we should never share the truth with people? Absolutely not!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

But, when we do share, we need to use the wisdom and discernment of the Holy Spirit to know when to share and when to pull back.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

He will guide us if we let Him!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
