John 9:1 (NKJV) 1\u00a0Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He saw a man who was blind from birth.<\/p>\n

His disciples were curious to know why he was born like this. They asked was it his sin that caused this or the sins of his parents?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

John 9:2 (NKJV) 2 And His disciples asked Him, saying, \u201cRabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Jesus answered them and told them neither. He was born like this that the works of God may be revealed in him.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

John 9:3 (NKJV) 3 Jesus answered, \u201cNeither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Some may say, “that poor man. He had to be blind so that others could see the works of God?”.<\/p>\n

No.\u00a0You see, that\u2019s the problem with our thinking.<\/p>\n

We think God is obligated to give us a certain lifestyle when we become His child. We think our lives are about us.<\/p>\n

Wrong!<\/p>\n

This is a misconception for those who want to walk around living a fake, presumptuous lifestyle.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We need to understand\u00a0that our walk with God is not always going to be a beautiful fairy tale dream come true, where we’re constantly walking in His blessings, with no problems whatsoever.<\/p>\n

Some walks are very difficult. That is why we must be prepared and ready for whatever cross we need to carry.<\/p>\n

Our life, our walk here, is not about us as the world tries to ingrain into us. It is always about God and what He wants to do through us.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

This man’s purpose was being blind for a time.<\/p>\n

Wow!\u00a0That just hit something!<\/p>\n

That can sure change things up a bit in today’s prosperity “bless me” teachings.<\/p>\n

Did a man’s blindness\u00a0have a purpose?\u00a0Absolutely!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

His purpose was being just that;\u00a0born blind so God could be glorified.<\/p>\n

Did he get healed? Let’s take a look.<\/p>\n

John 9:7 (NKJV) 7 And He said to him, \u201cGo, wash in the pool of Siloam<\/span>\u201d (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing.<\/p>\n

Yes, praise God, he was healed!<\/p>\n

And boy did that stir up some things\u00a0and bring to light how the\u00a0intellect\u00a0can be way off at times.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n
