1 Corinthians 13:13 (NKJV) 13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

God, out of love, sent His Son Jesus Christ to save the world from our sin.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Love is not doing what everyone wants us to do. Love is not obeying the crowd instead of\u00a0obeying the word of God. Love is not being gentle to someone when we need to be firm.<\/p>\n

Love is doing what is right, no matter the cost, in the time and place it needs to be done.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Love sacrifices much.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Why is love the greatest? Because love is the righteous attitude\u00a0to have in any given circumstance.<\/p>\n

The Bible says that without love, whatever we are and whatever we have\u00a0is nothing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

1 Corinthians 13:2-3 (NKJV) 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Jesus took on the incredible burden of the cross out of love. What will we do? Are we even open to walk in such love? Because this love is not an emotion or a feeling, we need to choose whether we will walk in it or not.\u00a0We have to choose to love.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Everything we do\u00a0or touch, we have to choose the way we will do it.<\/p>\n

If we choose love, we will do it from an obedient heart of righteousness\u00a0that comes from Christ alone.<\/p>\n

His Spirit, our Helper, the Holy Spirit that lives in us,\u00a0will lead us in this love that comes from the cross if we let Him.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The greatest of these is Love.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
