Nehemiah 8:10 (NKJV) 10 Then he said to them, \u201cGo your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The joy of the LORD is what? It is our strength!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Knowing God, His plan for us,\u00a0and how much He has sacrificed to bring us back to Him\u00a0should make us want to dance and shout!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

No one besides God would do what He did for us. No one.<\/p>\n

God cares for us and loves us more than anyone else could ever love us. His love runs deep for each one of us.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

He came to this earth in the form of a baby, to walk with us, love us and die for us. His very plan was for each one of us.<\/p>\n

Just the thought of that\u00a0hurts my\u00a0head.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We may say that\u00a0we would do that for our spouse, our children, or our best friend, etc. But would we actually go through with it\u00a0with the right attitude and sincerity, as Christ\u00a0did for us?<\/p>\n

That is unheard of.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Jesus Christ is One to be worshiped, loved and adored!<\/p>\n

He went through so much for us and He did it all without saying anything, other than to let\u00a0His disciples know what was to come. He held it, knowing that\u00a0the day and hour would come when He would face\u00a0the cross. Wow!<\/p>\n

And it was not for anything He did wrong. But for what we<\/em> did wrong.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Everything He did was motivated by love. And because<\/em> love was His motivation, He was obedient to\u00a0finish\u00a0it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We have to get this kind of understanding in us. When we love like He loved, we will obey and it will bring great satisfaction and overwhelming JOY!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We need the joy of the Lord today more than ever. And this joy will not come from material wealth. We need the JOY of the LORD that comes from Him\u00a0and Him\u00a0alone! Amen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We may get pleasure from having certain things we desire. But we get real joy when we have Him close to us, as we walk humbly with Him each day.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Micah 6:8 (NKJV) 8 He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
