2 Samuel 5:22-25 (NKJV) 22 Then the Philistines went up once again and deployed themselves in the Valley of Rephaim. 23 Therefore David inquired of the Lord, and He said, \u201cYou shall not go up; circle around behind them, and come upon them in front of the mulberry trees. 24 And it shall be, when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees, then you shall advance quickly. For then the Lord will go out before you to strike the camp of the Philistines.\u201d 25 And David did so, as the Lord commanded him; and he drove back the Philistines from Geba as far as Gezer.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

David asked God for counsel, and He gave Him specific instructions in order to do what needed to be done.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The question today is, do we inquire or ask the Lord God before we make decisions?\u00a0Do we give Him a chance to guide our steps?<\/p>\n

Or do we make all of our own choices and decisions and then wonder why we don\u2019t see victory, or don’t have any plan to push back what is attacking us or our loved ones.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

I was sitting in the dentist chair recently. I had been needing a root canal for some time. I had actually waited too long and I had developed an infection in that tooth.<\/p>\n

I went to the dentist and he told me, “it\u2019s time to do it now or it will get worse, or you may end up losing the tooth completely.<\/p>\n

I have had nothing but trouble over the years when it comes to root canals. They were never successful for me.<\/p>\n

So,\u00a0I immediately thought, “why don\u2019t we save all the trouble, and just pull it?”. That was<\/em> an option, after all.<\/p>\n

The dentist told me it was completely up to me. However, he did strongly suggest to let him do the root canal. Or, if I wasn\u2019t comfortable with him doing it, he would refer me to a specialist.<\/p>\n

As he gave me time to decide, I asked God. \u201cWhat do I do?\u201d.<\/p>\n

I heard very loud and clearly, “root canal”.<\/p>\n

I knew it wasn\u2019t me, because I despise the thought of root canals. And, to be honest, I almost wanted to pretend I didn\u2019t hear it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

But I told the doctor when he asked again, \u201cwe need to go with the root canal, and there is no need for a specialist. You can do it\u201d. I knew in my heart that was the plan God had shown me.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Today as I sit here, the root canal has been done. Thank God all went well, no pain whatsoever, from\u00a0start to finish. It was a success!!<\/p>\n

Thank you\u00a0to those who have been praying for me\u00a0without even knowing why.<\/p>\n

God truly heard your prayers and brought me through with not even a pinch of pain.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Some are waiting on an answer today. You need direction.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t give up.\u00a0Ask and keep seeking God until you get His answer. And then when you do, go for it!!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

He will direct us if we inquire.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n
