John 15:5 (NKJV) 5 \u201cI am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Over the years, as I have grown and matured as a believer, the truth and reality of what Jesus said has become more and more real and more apparent to me.\u00a0Without Him I can do nothing.<\/p>\n

In fact, without Him, not only can I do<\/em> nothing, but I am<\/em> nothing.<\/p>\n

I have seen that God is my source. He is my everything. He is the very reason I exist.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

As the last 40+ years have gone by, since I became a believer, God has shown me in great depth how we need Him.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

It is when we get this revelation and we truly begin to understand it, that we begin to see Who He is and why we are in such desperate need of Him in our lives.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

You might ask, \u201chow do I get that revelation myself?\u2019.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

There is no magic formula. But I will say this; it comes as we begin to understand our own weakness and the depravity of humanity in general.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

It is then that our spirit cries out and asks God to commune with us and truly make us His own, cleansing us from the inside, out, as He purifies us as one refined in the fire.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

I know that may sound a bit over the top to some. It might even sound religious. But trust me when I tell you, I am one of the least religious people you will ever meet.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

I just know that God is sovereign and I need Him. Period.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

It is that simple understanding that has helped me grow my relationship with Him to where it is now.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

And here\u2019s the cool part; I\u2019m not special. You can do the very same thing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

You too can grow and mature as a believer, drawing closer to God and gaining the understanding that without Him, you also can do nothing. And\u00a0are<\/em>, in fact nothing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

So, what does that require?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

A sincere heart and a willingness to put forth a consistent effort to get to know Him on a personal level.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

It\u2019s not complicated at all. And with dedication on our end, we can all walk with Him in a beautiful relationship that flourishes and changes our destiny.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
