John 3:13 (NKJV) 13\u00a0No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

This particular verse is very interesting if we look at it closely.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Over the last 20 years or so, we have heard many stories of people going to heaven and returning to share their experience and insights.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Some of these people were adults. Some were children.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Whatever or whoever they were, this verse\u00a0dispels\u00a0their story rather quickly.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

According to Jesus, no one (but\u00a0Him) has bodily (physically) ascended to heaven and returned to\u00a0tell\u00a0about it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

So, if it comes down to having to choose between believing the story of another human, or believing the words of Jesus, it\u2019s safe to say that the words of Jesus hold much more weight than the words of anyone else.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Now, this is not to throw stones at anyone. It is, rather, to promote truth and show lies for what they are. Anything that directly contradicts God\u2019s word is only one thing; a lie.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

You see, this is where God\u2019s word comes in to lead us, guide us, show us truth and expose lies. And this is why it\u2019s so important for us to spend time in His word, learning it and gaining understanding of it, by His Spirit.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Let\u2019s not chase stories that make us feel good. Let\u2019s unapologetically, passionately and relentlessly pursue God alone.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

If we do this, and use His word as our guide, we will never fall for lies and we can never go wrong.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
