Psalm 37:3-5 (NKJV) 3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. 4 Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. 5 Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

These 3 short verses offer us an abundance of counsel and insight if we look at them closely enough.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Together, they give us a picture of a solid relationship with God, based on trust and godly desires. If we stick to these principles, we can never go wrong.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Let\u2019s walk through each of them over the next few days so we can paint a picture of what they look like in our lives.<\/p>\n

Verse 3.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Trust in the Lord; This one is pretty self-explanatory.<\/p>\n

But\u00a0learning<\/em>\u00a0to trust Him isn\u2019t always as easy as we\u2019d like to think. It takes time and effort to build a relationship with Him that results in greater levels of trust. Once we\u2019ve built that relationship, the trusting part gets easier and easier.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Do Good; live righteously. Make wise, godly choices. Use God\u2019s word as a guide to show us what He desires for us when it comes to the way we live our lives. Allow the Holy Spirit to order our steps each day, even minute by minute.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Dwell in the land; This one isn\u2019t necessarily literally referring to dwelling in a physical land that God has chosen for us. But, instead, look at it symbolically and spiritually. God has \u201cplaced us\u201d in His land by way of the blood of Christ. His land is a land of truth, trust and righteousness, where we look to Him for everything we need, knowing that He is faithful to supply those needs for us as we walk with Him daily.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Feed on His faithfulness; This goes hand in hand with the previous one, dwelling in the land. As we dwell in His land, we will be satisfied with His provision, as he leads us, cares for us and nurtures us.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n
