James 5:16 (NKJV) 16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The question here is, “Why?”.<\/p>\n

Why do we have to confess our trespasses, sins or offenses to one another? Why don\u2019t we just confess them to God?<\/p>\n

There are times when we do just tell Him, and that’s enough.\u00a0But there are also times when we need to confess to others.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Confession is a big deal.<\/p>\n

Talking about what we’ve done\u00a0or are doing, and acknowledging it for what it is, will help get the deliverance and healing we need.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Sometimes we are afraid to tell anyone about what we’ve done. But keeping\u00a0silent and hiding it can be\u00a0harder than\u00a0just saying it. Don\u2019t be afraid.\u00a0Talk about it and get it out. Stop trying to live a life like everything is OK.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not OK, and we need to be real<\/em><\/strong> so we can be healed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Why aren\u2019t we sharing the things we need to share with one another?<\/p>\n

Are we more concerned about what people might think about us?<\/p>\n

A true brother or sister in Christ will love, not look down their nose at anyone. A true brother or sister knows no one is perfect, no matter who they are.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t let fear stop us and keep us from opening up.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. Who is the righteous man that prays? Is it the man that never did anything wrong and thus he is perfect and can pray for us?<\/p>\n

No.\u00a0It\u2019s the man\/woman that has been saved by grace, just like us. The man that needs prayer as well at times, because he too fails sometimes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The man is not called righteous because of anything he has done, but what the blood of Jesus has done for him\/her.<\/p>\n

The righteous man is the man with a sincere heart that longs to\u00a0love God, obey the best he can, and confess and repent as well.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

So, church, let us start confessing, so that we can receive our healing and the bride (all of us) can get up and get on her feet. We,\u00a0the bride, need\u00a0to be healed and to be able to walk in love. Stop running away.\u00a0Start opening up and running to those whom God shows us, that we may confess and let them pray for us.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

John 13:34-35 (NKJV) 34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another<\/span>.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Amen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
