Matthew 5:3 (NKJV) 3 \u201cBlessed are the poor in spirit,\u00a0For\u00a0theirs is the kingdom of heaven<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Who are the poor in spirit?<\/p>\n

It is those who\u00a0recognize their spiritual poverty, understanding their\u00a0need for Christ. When this happens, we will put aside all self-dependence and earnestly seek God\u2019s grace and mercy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

This is what salvation is all about.<\/p>\n

We don\u2019t just speak it with our mouth and then move on.\u00a0We receive His guidance and teaching throughout our life. We completely put our trust in Him!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

It is a day-to-day walk and relationship with Him.<\/p>\n

It is not to be taking lightly, but in\u00a0being thankful for the blessing that He has given to us as we acknowledge Jesus Christ as our Savior. Our spirit unites with Him and we become ONE.<\/p>\n

In everything we do, He is with us. And He will guide us daily\u00a0if we let Him.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

After I got saved as a young girl,\u00a0I was walking down the road, talking to my\u00a0girlfriend.\u00a0I was so excited and happy, I can\u2019t even explain the joy I had in me.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Because she was my friend, I wanted to share my experience with her, with\u00a0the hope\u00a0she would do the same.<\/p>\n

But it didn\u2019t happen that way. She did not get excited, and really didn\u2019t care much about what had happened to me.<\/p>\n

She actually remarked with words that I would soon find out that many use. \u201cOh, your one of those churchy people?”<\/p>\n

I think that was the first time I experienced rejection because of my faith. It made me sad to think that my friend had no interest in this amazing and life-changing\u00a0decision.<\/p>\n

I hurt for her.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Why would someone not want such a beautiful blessing?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We will experience this in our walk at times. We can’t let it get us down.\u00a0Just keep on pressing in. And if God leads you to do so,\u00a0keep sharing.<\/p>\n

Some will jump at it and some will mock it and tear it down.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Either way, we are blessed children of God! For ours is the kingdom of heaven!<\/p>\n

Keep shining, knowing that we are blessed! Amen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
