James 1:21 (NKJV) 21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

At its heart, this scripture is referring to truly receiving God\u2019s word. We can\u2019t just hear\u00a0it.\u00a0We actually have to make an honest effort to receive it by doing what it says.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

It\u2019s just like when we were children. Mom or Dad would tell us what to do, but if we didn\u2019t obey and do it, what happened? They took it as we weren\u2019t listening because we did not make an effort to follow through.<\/p>\n

You see, doing what we have been told\u00a0says something.\u00a0It makes a statement.<\/p>\n

It says, \u201cyes, I heard you clearly and I will follow through and do what I am told. I receive what you said, and I will show you through my actions”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Our question is, are we, as God\u2019s children, listening to His implanted word and allowing it to save us?<\/p>\n

His implanted word can save our soul, save our marriage, save our children, save our financial situation, save our relationship with Him, save our country, etc.\u00a0So, are\u00a0we obeying and taking the steps to walk it out?<\/p>\n

Or are we not even finding time to read His word, \u00a0leaving ourselves confused, walking in circles and depressed about what has taken place around us?<\/p>\n

Pick up God\u2019s word today and take it in. It will\u00a0save our soul and anything else that is going sour in our life as we receive with meekness that implanted word and instructions on how to live, so we can get out of the mess we are in and be happy!<\/p>\n

Proverbs 16:20 (NKJV) 20 He who heeds the word wisely will find good, And whoever trusts in the Lord, happy is he.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
