1 John 1:9 (NKJV) 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We need to be sure to take the time each day to get with the Lord.\u00a0One,\u00a0to confess our sins before Him and, two, to praise Him for forgiving us and cleansing us from all our junk.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We can\u2019t forget to get ourselves\u00a0straight before Him.<\/p>\n

The works of this world will take our minds off the important things in life;\u00a0those things that matter most to God. As Solomon would say, they are all vanity\u00a0and grasping for the wind.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Ecclesiastes 1:14 (NKJV) 14 I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and indeed, all is vanity and grasping for the wind.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We, as believers, must stay open to confession at all times. There is a constant battle within us. That battle is\u00a0flesh against Spirit.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Our flesh will push us to no\u00a0end, and if we let it, we will love what it is doing.<\/p>\n

But,\u00a0the Spirit will be there to convict us to stop and get ourselves right back on track.<\/p>\n

It can be exhausting at times. But remember that as we confess, He is faithful<\/strong> to forgive us.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

If we have gone a while without spending time and getting straight with Him, take this day and make things right. Take the time we need, and don’t let it linger.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

That is the only way we will feel at peace, lightened and less burdened;\u00a0by opening up, being honest, and confessing before Him.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
