Luke 5:31 (NKJV) 31 Jesus answered and said to them, \u201cThose who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

As Jesus sat and ate with tax collectors and others, the scribes and Pharisees\u00a0saw this. And they complained;\u00a0\u201cWhy do You eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Jesus was very matter of fact as He answered; \u201cThose who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We often hear this used when teaching about sharing the gospel with the unsaved.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Today, though, let\u2019s take a look at it from a different point of view.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The sick that Jesus referred to included you and I at one time. We were \u201csick\u201d, unwell, dead in our sins.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We were in need of a Savior and His forgiveness. We just didn\u2019t know it at the time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We were liars, thieves, adulterers, fornicators, drunkards, blasphemers, etc.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

1 Corinthians 6:11 (NKJV) 11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

But by the grace of God, and the blood of Christ, we have been cleansed and made whole!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Our sins have been forgiven; washed away. And we have been sanctified in His death and resurrection, made alive by His Spirit.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

It is good for us to remember this from time to time. Not so we are ashamed of it, but so we remember from where He brought us.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

And, so we can be reminded to thank Him for His incredible grace and mercy in our lives.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n
