Matthew 6:33 (NKJV) 33\u00a0But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Most times, we hear this verse quoted regarding receiving some kind of financial or material blessings from God. It\u2019s kind of become the norm to hear this verse and expect that kind of message to follow.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

But this verse is much more far-reaching than that.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The principles behind this verse apply to every aspect of our lives.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

You see, seeking God and His righteousness goes far beyond whatever material blessings we might (or might not) receive in return.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Every aspect of our lives is impacted by the strength of our relationship with our Creator and Father, through the Son.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Our attitude is affected. The joy in our life is affected. Our willingness to obey God\u2019s leading is affected. The way we interact with others is affected. And our willingness to give to others is affected.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

This list could be quite lengthy, but this should be sufficient to make the point we want to make.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

So, in light of that, what \u201cthings\u201d are added to our lives when we seek the kingdom of God first?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Peace that surpasses all understanding.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Joy that is beyond what words can express.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Stability that cannot be found in the things of the world.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Strength that can help us slay giants.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Faith that can move\u00a0mountains.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Knowledge and understanding beyond our intellectual understanding.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Wisdom that\u00a0confounds\u00a0even the most learned scholars.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Humility.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

And most of all, eternal life with the Father, through Christ.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

So, before we do anything else, let\u2019s be sure to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
