Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NKJV) 1\u00a0To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Seasons of our lives come and go. We teach about this often.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Some seasons seem fantastic. Life feels effortless. Everything seems to be just right. And we enjoy it immensely.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Other seasons are difficult and it can be hard to make sense of them. Our emotions have us on a roller-coaster. Up one day, and down the next.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Most seasons like this will challenge us in many ways.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

They will test our faith and our trust in God. They can cause us to become more introspective, examining our heart to check our standing in our\u00a0relationship\u00a0with Christ.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Most of all, they will test our character. They will show us (and others) who we really are.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

That can be a bit scary, as we are forced to face ourselves.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

But we don\u2019t have to be afraid. We just need to be sure that our faith is anchored in God, not in the\u00a0circumstances\u00a0of\u00a0our life.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

As we learn to do that, those seemingly scary seasons become less and less scary, and more like learning sessions that strengthen us for the next trial that we face.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Romans 5:3-4 (NKJV) 3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
