Hebrews 4:12 (NKJV) 12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The first words in this verse say, “the word of God is living and powerful”.\u00a0Amen!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

His Word is alive and powerful.<\/p>\n

We teach often on the importance of staying in the word of God.\u00a0It is so important that we make this a priority because of the\u00a0effect it has on us.\u00a0It\u2019s living and powerful! We all need this today.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The next thing\u00a0it tells us is that the word\u00a0is sharp, so it can cut through those very hard-as-stone places that we all have in us.<\/p>\n

Finally, it also says that it is a discerner.<\/p>\n

His word shows us who we really are. This is how the Word can help us, by keeping us accountable.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Who likes accountability?<\/p>\n

The average person will not raise their hand for this.\u00a0But\u00a0a believer that has been through some things, and has come out the other side with the word of God, will raise their hand in a heartbeat.<\/p>\n

Why?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Because they have grown and matured and they understand\u00a0that the Word of God, and the accountability it brings,\u00a0will bring freedom to us and a life that is far better than living it out on our own.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Romans 14:12 (NKJV) 12 So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
