Isaiah 26:8 (NLT) 8 Lord, we show our trust in you by obeying your laws; our heart\u2019s desire is to glorify your name.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

This verse sums up what our relationship with God should be based on; obeying Him because we trust Him, not simply because we have been told to do so, or because\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0a routine or habit.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

And in doing that, we will glorify His name in everything that we do.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

This is the goal we should work toward as we learn of Him and grow closer to Him.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Sometimes we tend to over-complicate our walk with God. We overthink it. We add things to it that don\u2019t benefit that relationship or make it stronger.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

And most of those things are based on human intellect or human concepts. Others are based on tradition or something we saw someone else do.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The best thing we can do is to keep it simple and build that walk based solely on Biblical principles.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

If we do that, our walk with Him will be the strongest it could ever be. And because of that, we will also be the strongest we could ever be.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Keep it simple and real.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
