Psalm 73:28 (NKJV) 28 But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord God, That I may declare all Your works.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Battles are part of life. Yes, even for believers this is so.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

In fact, as believers, battles are apt to be a bigger part of our life than if we were unbelievers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

There\u2019s a good reason for that, but we won\u2019t dig into all of that today!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Suffice it to say that we will all face battles as part of our walk with God.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

As we face these battles, there are two things that we need to be sure we do. These two things will help us push through the battles with victory.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

1. We need to be sure to stay close to God, even during our battles.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Many times, we tend to pull away from Him when we face tough situations.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Why?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Because we get in our heads and try to fix everything intellectually.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Logical thinking doesn\u2019t win spiritual battles. A strong spirit and razor-sharp discernment do.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

So, in order to have those qualities, we absolutely need to stay close to God.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

And those qualities, along with perseverance, will help us win.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

2. The other things we need to be sure to do is to continue to trust God with our finances.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

This means that when things get tough, we don\u2019t stop giving.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

God has promised that if we give to the storehouse, He will open the heavens and bless us (Malachi 3:10).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

He has also told us that He will rebuke the devourer for our sake, protecting the fruit of our ground (Malachi 3:11).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

But He can only do this if we give (tithe)!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

God doesn’t need our money. He owns it all anyway.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

But, because our finances are valuable to us, our faithfulness in giving shows (proves) our trust in Him.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

And it speaks to the enemy as well. It\u2019s like shouting at the top of our lungs, \u201cyou can\u2019t stop me, devil. I trust my God more than I fear you!\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

And it’s important to note that in Malachi 3:10, God tells us to test Him in this.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

This is the only place in the entirety of God\u2019s word that He says we are allowed to test Him. That is serious stuff right there.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

So, let\u2019s take God at His word, obey Him, trust Him.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Let\u2019s draw near to Him.\u00a0And let\u2019s give\u00a0as He has instructed us to do, even during our most fierce battles.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

These things will show God that we trust Him, and will help bring victory no matter what we face.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
