Philippians 4:6-7 (NKJV) 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Worry, Fear, Stress, Anxiety.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

These are all things that we as humans struggle with when things get tough or unsure.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Some wrestle with these more than others. Our personality can play a big part in how much we struggle with any of them.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

But our walk with God, our faith in Him and how much we trust Him can also have a major impact on whether or not we fight with any of them, or even to what degree it might happen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Everyone is in a different place in their walk with God. We all deal with different obstacles when it comes to growing and maturing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The import thing, though, is that we do work at it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

A strong, secure relationship with our Father is our best defense against anxiety, fear, stress and worrying.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

As we grow and mature as a believer, we will come to understand what Jesus said in Matthew 6:34, \u201cTherefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Does this mean that our worries just magically melt away? Of course not.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

But it does mean that as we spiritually mature, we will spend less and less time fretting and worrying, and more time seeking God and His solutions to our problems.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

And as we do that, worrying will indeed become less a part of our life than we could have ever imagined.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
