Matthew 7:7 (NKJV) 7 \u201cAsk, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Ask.<\/p>\n

One of the most important things in this life as a believer is knowing God\u2019s promises for us and learning how to ask for them on a personal level.<\/p>\n

In order for any of His promises to happen, we must be in agreement with Him for them to come to pass in our lives.<\/p>\n

We don\u2019t demand and we don\u2019t command. We simply ask and respectfully (reverently) wait for His timing and His way of accomplishing it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Seek.<\/p>\n

How does one seek after God?<\/p>\n

Again, we prayerfully go to and wait on Him.<\/p>\n

We seek Him through reading His word. And throughout our day we seek Him by listening, letting Him help us discern the things that we need to see and understand.<\/p>\n

Sincerely seeking Him will give us His answers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Knock, and it will be open!<\/p>\n

Simply go toward whatever God has put in front of us and follow through.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

One thing I find interesting is the order they are in. Ask, seek and knock.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

I find knocking doesn’t seem to do me a bit of good if I have not done both of these things first.<\/p>\n

We must ask to start the process or get\u00a0the ball rolling, so to speak.<\/p>\n

Once the process has begun (we’ve asked), it doesn’t mean that whatever we are asking for will pop out of thin air.<\/p>\n

Instead, it should cause us to want to seek after God for confirmation\u00a0and further instructions.<\/p>\n

It’s very important to know what steps to take, the timing and the knowhow to see it through, etc.<\/p>\n

And then we come to the end and bring it home by knocking or “following through” with faith, wisdom and understanding. He will lead us each step of the way.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
