Acts 11:16 (NKJV) 16 Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said, \u2018John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.\u2019<\/p>\n

After we repent, accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, and are baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of our sins, we will receive\u00a0the gift of the Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n

For this is the promise to us, and to all that the Lord our God will call.<\/p>\n

Acts 2:38 (NKJV) 38 Then Peter said to them, \u201cRepent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n

The Holy Spirt is our gift. He bears witness to the reality of the exaltation of Jesus and is given to those who believe, have faith and obey Him.<\/p>\n

The most important thing we can learn is to surrender to Him.<\/p>\n

There will be times when our flesh does not understand fully what the Holy Spirit may be impressing on us to do. It\u2019s in those moments that we need to trust Him and not try to follow our intellect.<\/p>\n

Why? Because our intellect doesn’t understand the things of the Spirit.<\/p>\n

The Holy Spirit will always line up with God\u2019s word. He will never have us do something that goes against the Word of God.<\/p>\n

Walking in the gift of the Holy Spirit will enable us to pray in tongues, as the Spirit gives utterance and as we open our mouth by faith and let it come out.<\/p>\n

Acts 2:4 (NKJV) 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.<\/p>\n

Step out in faith. Obey the Holy Spirit. And as we do this, He will become more active in our lives.<\/p>\n
