Galatians 4:4-5 (NKJV) 4 But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.<\/p>\n

God\u2019s Son, Jesus Christ, was born of a woman.<\/p>\n

Now, the woman who had birthed God\u2019s Son was named Mary. Mary was a virgin.<\/p>\n

We can see how miraculous this birth was.<\/p>\n

Mary was God\u2019s servant and she was honored to do what God asked of her; humble, and grateful to have been chosen.<\/p>\n

She was not looking for people to praise her or lift her up in any way. She didn\u2019t ask people to exalt her or even acknowledge her.<\/p>\n

She did what she did because she loved God.<\/p>\n

Luke 1:38 (NKJV) 38 Then Mary said, \u201cBehold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.\u201d And the angel departed from her.<\/p>\n

Mary proclaimed that she was a maidservant of the Lord; a female domestic servant. And she chose to obey God.<\/p>\n

Mary did it according to God\u2019s word.<\/p>\n

She never wanted to be looked at as someone special, to be lifted up or put on a pedestal. She humbly agreed to carry the Son of God according to His word.<\/p>\n

Jesus said when I am lifted up…<\/p>\n

John 12:32 (NKJV) 32 And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself<\/span>.\u201d<\/p>\n

The only One who should be lifted up is Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s when He is lifted up that He will draw all people to Himself, and they will be set free from their sin as they repent and put their faith in Him.<\/p>\n

Let us lift Him up this day and every day, for He is our Redeemer and the Savior of this world!<\/p>\n
