Luke 14:11 (NKJV) 11 For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted<\/span>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Being humble simply means that we don\u2019t think of ourselves as being better than anyone else. And that is a good thing.<\/p>\n

Holding ourselves accountable to God will nip this right in the bud. But if we don\u2019t stay accountable to Him, pride can very easily creep in. And it will not be good.<\/p>\n

Pride opens the door to destruction.<\/p>\n

Proverbs 16:18 (NKJV) 18 Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.<\/p>\n

Are we walking around with a haughty spirit, and wondering why we are not moving forward?<\/p>\n

Maybe we have been waiting and waiting on some answers, but we have been prideful in many ways. God cannot exalt us if we already hold ourselves up higher than others.<\/p>\n

It’s time to come down off that ladder and start by acknowledging that we aren\u2019t any better than anyone else no matter what we possess, no matter what we\u2019ve accomplished and no matter where we stand.<\/p>\n

Let God deliver us from arrogance, pride and a haughty spirit today. Amen.<\/p>\n
