1 John 5:12 (NKJV) 12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.<\/p>\n

People who do not put their faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior are only functioning and living by their flesh.<\/p>\n

They are surviving by their intellect and a very small part of their hearts. They are very limited in their ability to think, love, grow and understand.<\/p>\n

When John says, “they do not have life”, he is talking about those who haven’t put their faith in Jesus Christ. And because of that, their spirit has never come alive. They have not been born again.<\/p>\n

They are not truly living the life God has for them, for God is Spirit and He only communes with our spirit. But if we never believe in His Son, Jesus Christ, our spirit will remain dead.<\/p>\n

Without our spirit being made alive, we just live by the flesh.<\/p>\n

True life begins when we repent, recognize Jesus Christ as God\u2019s Son, and put our faith in Him.<\/p>\n

Our spirit comes alive when this takes place.<\/p>\n

A new life begins for us as we follow His teachings and obey His steps. We find ourselves surrendering our fleshly understanding and taking on a “spiritual” walk to replace our old, fleshly ways.<\/p>\n

The flesh alone will live a worldly lifestyle. But Jesus calls us to come out from among the world and be separate. It\u2019s then that we experience a life that is fulfilling and meaningful.<\/p>\n

2 Corinthians 6:17 (NKJV) 17 Therefore \u201cCome out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you.\u201d<\/p>\n
