Isaiah 63:10 (NKJV) 10 But they rebelled and grieved His Holy Spirit; So He turned Himself against them as an enemy, And He fought against them.<\/p>\n

The Holy Spirit can definitely be grieved when we rebel.<\/p>\n

One of the ways we do this is by holding onto bitterness or having resentment.<\/p>\n

Bitterness<\/strong> sets in our hearts\u00a0from being angry and disappointed. Many times this is due to being treated unfairly.<\/p>\n

We can’t let bitterness stick around.\u00a0Let God heal us and help us to\u00a0forgive and\u00a0move on quickly.<\/p>\n

Another way we grieve the Holy Spirit\u00a0as believers is by\u00a0remaining in a state of anger<\/strong>. This can cause us to take that anger out on others by mistreating them; degrading, ignoring, shouting at them, etc.<\/p>\n

If we have lasting anger and we can\u2019t seem to shake it off, we\u2019ve got to ask God for help in showing us why it is there.<\/p>\n

Whatever the root of our anger is from, God can help us pluck it up and dispose of it as we ask for His help.<\/p>\n

If we as God\u2019s children are acting out in a loud, obnoxious, troublemaking way<\/strong>, we will also find ourselves grieving the Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n

Our words are another way of grieving Him.<\/p>\n

If we find ourselves continually speaking words that we know are not good, and we continue to ignore it, the Holy Sprit will not stick around.<\/p>\n

Ephesians 4:30-31 (NKJV) 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.<\/p>\n

We are accountable for our actions. It\u2019s up to us to walk in such a way that the Holy Spirit feels welcomed in our temple and that He has precedence over our flesh.<\/p>\n

God will teach us how to walk as a believer with integrity if we truly want to change.<\/p>\n

Amen.<\/p>\n
