Exodus 31:17 (NKJV) 17 It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.\u2019 \u201d<\/p>\n

Have you ever noticed that when we are rested, we are more tolerant, more understanding, more patient, more kind and more willing to be helpful to others?<\/p>\n

But when we are tired, we are easily agitated, annoyed, aggravated, and more likely to be sensitive.<\/p>\n

My daughter is funny at times, she will ask me, \u201cMom, are you tired today?\u201d.<\/p>\n

When she says that, I immediately know what she is trying to get across to me.<\/p>\n

In a kind way, she\u2019s letting me know I\u2019m grouchy. LOL.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a sincere attempt to let me know I need to take a nap and get refreshed.<\/p>\n

Fatigue or tiredness can be a Christian’s enemy. It can quickly impede the flow of the Holy Spirit and the strength that He offers to us.<\/p>\n

When we are tired, we will say or do things we wouldn\u2019t normally say or do if we were well rested.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s important that we notice when we need to walk away, pull back, take a vacation or even just find a quiet place to lay our head and rest for a bit.<\/p>\n

Believers are not exempt from resting. We need to be refreshed, just as our Lord took the time to stop Himself.<\/p>\n

Amen.<\/p>\n
