1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NKJV) 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.<\/p>\n

Why do we have to rejoice, pray, and give thanks? Because it is the will of God for us.<\/p>\n

These are the things we must do to build up our relationship in God.<\/p>\n

We often get asked the question, \u201chow do we know what God is saying?\u201d. And we always answer by saying, “get close to Him”.<\/p>\n

How do we get close?<\/p>\n

Knowing what scripture tells us to do, and then obeying it, will definitely get His attention.<\/p>\n

He will draw near to us as we draw near to Him.<\/p>\n

He will be so near to us that we will instantly be convicted when we are about to make a wrong move.<\/p>\n

What a beautiful life!<\/p>\n

He will show us in advance if we are about to do something wrong or if someone is about to take us out or cause us harm.<\/p>\n

And by obeying what God shows us to do regarding it, we will avoid the situation and keep on moving forward. Wow!<\/p>\n

It doesn\u2019t come easy. We have to make an effort to get close to God to achieve such discernment.<\/p>\n

By listening to His word and doing it, we will surely grow closer.<\/p>\n

Start here by rejoicing, praying and giving thanks from our hearts, and we are on our way to a closer walk with Him.<\/p>\n
