2 Corinthians 5:20 (NKJV) 20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ\u2019s behalf, be reconciled to God.<\/p>\n

Our salvation in Christ is about so much more than us spending eternity in God\u2019s presence.<\/p>\n

It is multi-faceted. Let\u2019s take a look!<\/p>\n

When we become a child of God, the Holy Spirit begins a transformation work in our lives that prepares us for what lies ahead.<\/p>\n

When we put our faith and trust in Christ, we become a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17).<\/p>\n

All the change and transformation that God works out in us is not just to make us a better person so we look good, or to impress those around us.<\/p>\n

It is to mold and shape us into vessels who bring honor and glory to God Himself!<\/p>\n

Now, this is where it gets really interesting.<\/p>\n

As God works in us, He also takes those works He is doing in<\/em> us and begins to display His work outwardly, through<\/em> us.<\/p>\n

Our interactions with others now become works of ambassadorship.<\/p>\n

Here are some examples of how this plays out:<\/p>\n

The kindness that we demonstrate to others.<\/p>\n

A gentle, uplifting word to someone who is facing a hardship or tough situation.<\/p>\n

Helping someone in need, either by deed or by giving of our finances.<\/p>\n

Praying with someone who is hurting.<\/p>\n

Speaking truth, in love, to bring light and hope to someone who is shrouded in darkness.<\/p>\n

These are all simple examples of us being lights in a dark world.<\/p>\n

We show God to others through our words and our actions, and we take no credit for it.<\/p>\n

We point everyone to God, who gives us the ability to do what we do through the power and leading of the Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n

This is never as complicated as we sometimes make it seem.<\/p>\n

God leads, He speaks, and we obey.<\/p>\n

And in this we fulfill our calling as ambassadors in Christ. Amen.<\/p>\n
