1 John 5:12 (NKJV) 12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.<\/p>\n

People without Christ live their lives functioning only by their flesh. Their spirit is dead.<\/p>\n

When John says they do not have life, he\u2019s referring to the fact that their spirit has not yet been made alive in Christ.<\/p>\n

They are not yet living the life God has for them. They are just living in and by the flesh.<\/p>\n

That means getting up every day and doing habitual everyday stuff. Our heart remains hard, rebellious and stubborn. It is blind and can\u2019t see past the daily routine. It is in a state of deception as to what life is meant to be.<\/p>\n

This is a scary place to be.<\/p>\n

God is Spirit and He only communes with our spirit if we have put our faith and trust in His Son, Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n

It is then that we are born again, and our spirit is made alive in Him.<\/p>\n

A spiritual relationship with God begins as we surrender ourselves and our understanding to Him and begin to follow the teachings of the Word of God.<\/p>\n

At first the flesh will fight it. It likes its fleshly lifestyle. It’s old habits bring comfort and familiarity.<\/p>\n

But Jesus calls us to come out from the world and its lifestyles, and be separate. It\u2019s then that we experience a life that is fulfilling and meaningful, through surrendering our will and lives to the Holy Spirit!<\/p>\n

2 Corinthians 6:17 (NKJV) 17 Therefore \u201cCome out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you.\u201d<\/p>\n

There is life in trusting Jesus Christ, God’s Son! Amen.<\/p>\n
