Proverbs 15:23 (NKJV) 23 A man has joy by the answer of his mouth, And a word spoken in due season, how good it is!<\/p>\n

Have you ever said something, and as soon as it left your mouth you knew you were in trouble?<\/p>\n

Yes…it happens to all of us at one time or another.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s called open mouth insert foot syndrome!<\/p>\n

It is important for God\u2019s children to be very careful of the words we speak.<\/p>\n

If we realized how important our words are, we would give more thought to what we say and how we say it.<\/p>\n

Words just seem to come up and out at times when we least expect it. Without even thinking about what we are going to say, they will just fly out.<\/p>\n

But we can control them.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s right. We really can control our mouth.<\/p>\n

It’s not always easy. I am still working on it.<\/p>\n

It takes being aware of what is about to come out at all times.<\/p>\n

Sometimes I am just tired and “my bucket is full”.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s no excuse, I know. But it\u2019s the truth.<\/p>\n

When our bucket is full, we need to be more alert and much more attentive to what our mouth is about to speak.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not easy to make sure we say the right thing at the right time. It is my prayer for us all to get better at it, though.<\/p>\n

Remember, the next time we must give an answer to a person or situation, joy comes by the answer of our mouth, if the answer we give is the right one!<\/p>\n

Give time for the Holy Spirit to move on us before we let our words roll out.<\/p>\n

James 1:19 (NKJV) 19 So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath…<\/p>\n

God, help us give the right answers in due season. Amen.<\/p>\n
