(Mat 1:23 NKJV)\u00a0 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”<\/p>\n
God with us. That is the message that God wanted to convey to everyone about the presence of His son here on earth. It seems pretty straight forward.<\/p>\n
Let me dig a little deeper today, though.<\/p>\n
One of the things that I think gets overlooked and misunderstood about this is that Immanuel doesn\u2019t necessarily mean \u201cGod is with us\u201d. It means \u201cGod, with us\u201d.<\/p>\n
I know that some people might look at that and say \u201cwhat\u2019s the difference?\u201d Let me explain, because it really is significant.<\/p>\n
God is with us simply means that God is with us, in a general sense. There is nothing specific about it. It\u2019s just a general statement. We could say that God is with us no matter where we are or what we\u2019re going through. And this is true.<\/p>\n
God with us, however, refers specifically to Jesus being God, with us. See the difference? God, with, us!<\/p>\n
This may seem very minor to some people, but it\u2019s actually very significant\u2026 so important to understand in order to understand who Jesus really was.<\/p>\n
Take a few minutes and think about this. Take it in and get understanding on this. It\u2019s a big revelation once you understand it better.<\/p>\n
