Psalm 34:18 (NKJV) 18 The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit.<\/p>\n

Is your heart broken?<\/p>\n

Have you been dealt a blow recently that sent you reeling?<\/p>\n

Does it feel like someone has pulled the rug from under your feet, and you’re stumbling, trying to find your footing?<\/p>\n

Has the battle you are fighting knocked the wind out of you, leaving you struggling to catch your breath?<\/p>\n

Does it feel like your heart has been shattered into pieces, and you will never be whole again?<\/p>\n

Being brokenhearted is never a good feeling. It can make us feel as though we want to curl up and die, surrendering to whatever situation we are facing.<\/p>\n

It can cause us to feel like hope is lost, with no chance of ever finding it again.<\/p>\n

But we need to remember Who we belong to.<\/p>\n

Sometimes we need someone to shake us and wake us up, so we don\u2019t let our desperation take over and cause us to abandon our faith.<\/p>\n

We will all face trials in our lives. But we also need to remember that we have a Redeemer who wants to walk us through those trials, bringing us out victoriously on the other side.<\/p>\n

The question is, \u201cwill we let Him?\u201d.<\/p>\n

God tells us that He is near to the brokenhearted. And Jesus told us in Luke 4:18, \u201cThe Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted\u201d.<\/p>\n

Do we not know how powerful His love is to heal us when our heart is broken?<\/p>\n

Let us trust Him to bring healing to our broken heart.<\/p>\n

Let us not keep Him at arm’s length, pushing Him away when He is trying to bring us healing and renew our hope.<\/p>\n

For there is none like Him. And there is no one who can make us whole, as He can.<\/p>\n
